The new Philharmonic House has its location in the city center at the crossroad of Małopolska and Matejki Streets. The building was designed by Barozzi Veiga Studio from Barcelona and it was awarded the first prize at the international architectural competition. Its shape connects to Szczecin city landscape and the very near scenery with many buildings of dropping roofs, church towers and other public constructions. The elevation style emphasizes its vertical lines and slender mass. The building will be an architectural icon of the city and its significant promotion part. The main assignment of the new House is to perform symphonic music. There are two concert halls – the symphonic hall for 951 and chamber hall for 192 visitors. The main entrance is located at Małopolska Street and leads to the representative foyer with a height of three storeys.
In the space of the entrance foyer beneath the chamber hall there is located a café too. Main entrances to the both concert halls are on the first floor of the building. The new Philharmonic House as a part of public space will be available for its visitors all day time. The ground floor facilities: entrance hall, ticket offices, café and CD and music publication stalls are expected to encourage visitors to stay for a longer time inside the building. On the third floor there is an exhibition space for galleries “Harmony of Art”. Exposures of photography, painting, graphics, sculpture and old music instruments will be accompanied by performances of music, literature and fine arts.
Das neue Gebäude der Philharmonie wird im Stadtzentrum bei Małopolska und Matejki Strassen errichtet. Es wurde durch das Studio Barozzi Veiga aus Barcelona entworfen, das internationales Architektenwettbewerb gewann. Das Projekt mit seiner Form knüpft an Stadtlandschaft und direkte Umgebung an, wo andere Gebäude mit ihren Walmdächen sowie Kirchtürme zu sehen sind. Die Bauweise der Fassade hebt Senkrechte und emporstrebende Gebäudekörper hervor. Das Gebäude wird eine Ikone der Stadtarchitektur und ein wichtiges Element für Stadtpräsentation sein.
Das Hauptziel für das Gebäude sind Konzerte der sinfonischen Musik. Das Objekt besteht aus zwei Konzertsälen – der grosse Saal ist für 951 und der Kammersaal für 192 Zuhörer. Der Haupteingang befindet sich bei Małopolska Strasse und führt zur representativen Empfangshalle mit der Höhe von drei Stockwerken. Das neue Gebäude der Philharmonie wird ein öffentlicher Raum sein - für Besucher ganzen Tag lang zugänglich. Erdgeschossstufe mit Empfangshalle, Kassen, Verkaufsständen mit CD und Musikverlägen sowie Café sollen zahlreiche Besuchergruppen anziehen. Auf dem dritten Stockwerk soll ein Ausstellungsraum entstehen, wo in Rahmen der Galerie “Kunstharmonie” Kunstereignisse veranstaltet werden. Ausstellungen von Photos, Gemälden, Graphik, Bildhauerwerken werden durch Musikkonzerte, Dicht- und bildende Künste begleitet.
Nowy gmach Filharmonii powstanie w śródmieściu u zbiegu ulic Małopolskiej i Matejki. Obiekt zaprojektowało studio Barozzi Veiga z Barcelony, które wygrało międzynarodowy konkurs architektoniczny. Budynek nawiązuje formą do krajobrazu Szczecina i bezpośredniego otoczenia działki, gdzie budynki posiadają wielospadkowe dachy i wszędzie widać wieże kościołów i gmachów publicznych. Sposób konstruowania elewacji podkreśla kierunki pionowe i strzelistość bryły. Budynek stanie się ikoną architektury miasta oraz ważnym elementem promocyjnym Szczecina.
Głównym przeznaczeniem budynku są koncerty muzyki symfonicznej. Na obiekt składają się dwie sale koncertowe. Duża sala koncertowa pomieści 951 osób natomiast mała sala 192 osoby. Główne wejście do budynku zlokalizowane jest od strony ulicy Małopolskiej i prowadzi do reprezentacyjnego hallu wejściowego o wysokości trzech kondygnacji. Nowy budynek filharmonii będzie stanowił przestrzeń publiczną przez cały dzień otwartą i dostępną dla odwiedzających. Poziom parteru, a zatem: hall wejściowy, kasy, stoisko z płytami i wydawnictwami muzycznymi, a także kawiarnia, mają zachęcać do odwiedzenia i dłuższego pozostania w gmachu. Na trzecim piętrze przewidziana jest przestrzeń wystawiennicza umożliwiająca organizowanie różnorakich wystaw i imprez w ramach galerii „Harmonia Sztuki”. Wystawom fotografii, malarstwa, grafiki, rzeźby, starych instrumentów towarzyszyć będą działania łączące muzykę, sztuki piękne, literaturę i sztukę słowa mówionego.
